Let’s Compare Avon, Mary Kay and Younique

Today we will compare Mary Kay, Avon and my very own Younique. I have used all 3 over the years and each has their Pros and Cons.Younique is fairly new to the makeup landscape while the others have been around longer than many of us have been alive! Why are they still thriving? Why have others been able to sneak in and claim part of the cosmetic landscape? Let’s compare those differences and see what the hype is all about.

Price – We all notice this one first!

****My chart is based upon the average full price found on the brands respective web sites.

Let’s face it….it matters right?!?!?!?!

As you can see from my chart above, Avon has the lowest prices. They have lots of fun stuff and you can definitively get a variety. But what are the others selling?

MaryKay has been around for a long time. Mary Kay herself started a business back in a time that women didn’t do that. AND SHE DID IT PINK DIDN”T SHE? I guess we could call her a Pink warrior, she made it acceptable to be pink and be a professional. You cannot turn your back on that. ~ But it’s also the same make-up that mom wore. And grandma, she loved Avon.

What does Younique have? And why should I pay more?

If Avon is Walmart and Mary Kay is Target….Then Younique has to be the department store, right? We go to the mall to get to the department store and everything is better at the mall right?!?!?!?!

Younique has the fuller eyes…the ones it looks like you pay more for. Yes, you can have full, thick sexy lashes and you do get great contouring kits that allow you to sculpt your face. We can look like the models in the mall…..great!

I guess my point is…if we want to grow old slowly…and do it differently than beloved ole mom and grandma…..Younique is a GREAT place to start 🙂
